Precision Kuts Pricing Structure

At Precision Kuts, pricing will be structured around maintenance scheduling, haircut type, and the time required to properly groom each individual dog. 

Every coat is different, especially with today’s mixed breeds, and grooming time is

determined by coat type, length, density, and the detail requested.

Grooming Scheduling

• 2–6 Weeks: 

Base maintenance pricing. Regular maintenance keeps coats

balanced, reduces prep time, and allows us to groom efficiently while maintaining

quality.

• 7–12 Weeks: 

+ $2 per week over 6 weeks. As coats grow longer, additional time

is required for bathing, product use, blow drying, brushing, and coat preparation

before the haircut even begins.

• 13+ Weeks: 

Considered restoration grooming. Pricing reflects the time required

to bring the dog back into proper coat condition and pattern. Restoration grooming

begins at +$25.

Breed-Specific Pattern Work

Pattern work involves structural grooming with multiple blade lengths and defined

transitions. Examples include Schnauzer patterns, Westie trims, Poodle patterns,

and other breed-specific outlines.

Unlike a pet trim that is one consistent length all over, pattern work requires

creating balance, defined jackets, skirts, furnishings, topknots, tail shapes, and

structured transitions.

• Pattern work adjustment: + $3–$10 depending on size and detail required.

Hand Scissoring & Sculpting

Haircuts kept longer than 1 inch require significantly more prep and finishing time.

Longer coats require additional bathing product, extended blow-dry time, thorough

brushing, and detailed hand scissoring to achieve a balanced finish.

A 1⁄4-inch maintenance trim is substantially different from a 2-inch sculpted finish.

Longer styles demand more time refining faces, legs, and overall shape.

• Light finishing: + $5–$10

• Moderate sculpting: + $15–$20

• Extensive hand scissoring: + $25–$30

Every Dog Is An Individual

With today’s mixed breeds and varied coat combinations, grooming is no longer a

one-size-fits-all service. Two dogs of the same breed can vary greatly in density,

texture, and maintenance needs. Pricing reflects the time, skill, and preparation

required to properly groom each unique coat.
